Photography Magazines

Photography Magazines

There are many photography magazines that focus on a specific type of photography. Others are more generalized. Someone who has a broad and basic interest in photography may be interested in these titles. They can cover color, black and white, reviews and cost comparisons of various types of cameras and camera equipment, ranging from the newest digital camera to the best bag for your 25 mm. They can even cover interviews with different photographers as well as looking at careers such as photojournalism or wedding photographers. Some examples of these are Popular Photography and Imaging Magazine and American Photo Magazine. Do keep in mind that a subscription will decrease the cost of each issue, and there are plenty of magazine websites that feature reduced rate subscriptions.

Digital Photography Magazines

Technology changes and simplifies our ways of life, and camera technology is no different. The digital camera has become an incredibly popular tool in recent years. The ease and instant gratification, as well as falling prices, are all very appealing aspects of this form of photography. Of course there are still complications when dealing with these cameras. First there is the confusion of which digital camera one should purchase. What are the photography camera needs of the individual? Do they plan on creating their own art, finding the perfect subjects and manipulating the images with their computers? Do they simply want something to take with them on vacations and to parties? How many MP’s do you need? Do you have any idea? Most people find the digital camera aisle in stores to be daunting. That is why there are digital photography magazines. They give photography product reviews. They give pointers for both amateur and expert. They can even help you with the technological questions that may arise when attempting to transfer the images onto your computer. A couple of examples of these magazines are Digital Photographer Magazine and PCPhoto Magazine.

Outdoor Photographer

Perhaps all this talk of computers isn’t your idea of photography and you prefer the idea of capturing nature in your pictures. Outdoor Photographer may be a good resource for you (not that you can’t use all of your current technology to capture wildlife images as well). They will tell you the best gear to get for this specific type of photography. They will compare digital and film cameras as they pertain to shooting the outdoors, give tips on composition such as black and white versus color, and of course offer some beautiful examples.
