Printer Cartridges

Photo takes have a love/hate relationship with film. Film based cameras are certainly a little more time consuming to use than digital cameras, and there is much more room for error with the film based cameras. With a film based camera, you have to buy the right kind of film, load it properly without exposing it to light, remove it properly, and get it developed. But that last part – the getting it developed – made things a little easier than digital cameras do. Sure, with digital cameras, you only have to point and shoot, but how do you get those photos off of your camera and into your hands? With a digital camera, you are your own photo studio, and you have to print your own photographs. But is it really possible to get the kind of printing quality you see in professionally done photographs from your printer at home? It absolutely is, as long as you have the right printer cartridges to help you with the job. Good color printer cartridges will bring all the vibrancy of your digital prints to life, with the ease and convenience of home printing.

About Printer Cartridges

Printer cartridges come in two types: color and black. Black ink is of course for printing black, either on black and white images or for color images. Color printer cartridges come with three colors – cyan, magenta, and yellow (or CMY in the printing world – black is K). These color combinations – CMYK – can be used in different combinations to create any color your printer wants to print, according to the digital information stored on your photo.

When you buy a printer, it will come preloaded with printer cartridges made by the printer manufacturer, and without fail, every single printer manufacturer will tell you that you must replace the printer cartridges with more printer cartridges by their own brand. That is why the store shelves are stocked with HP printer cartridges, Dell printer cartridges, Epson printer cartridges, Canon printer cartridges, Lexmark printer cartridges, Alps printer cartridges, and so on. So, is there anything to this rule? Most experts say it is nothing more than a ploy for these companies to sell more of their expensive printer cartridges. You can get discount printer cartridges in generic brands, like generic printer cartridges for inkjet printers that will work just as well as the name brand cartridges. Simply follow the instructions for loading a new cartridge and ignore your printer’s warning message about using the wrong brand of cartridge.
