Film Cameras

It seems like these that the image of the camera has changed completely. When someone said “camera” in years past, everyone pictured a film based camera. These days, it seems like everything is about digital photography. And for good reason – digital photography is great. Sometimes having a camera without film is a handy thing. Film can be notoriously tricky to handle – one false move, and you can ruin all of the photos. Plus, you have to worry about getting the right film for the kind of picture you are shooting, you have to find a good photo developer, and you have to wait around for your photos to be printed. With a digital camera, you point, shoot, and you’re done. You get to see the photo as soon as you take it, so you don’t end up with a whole roll of stinkers. But, all of the pluses to digital photography does not mean that there is a clear winner to the debate on film cameras versus digital cameras. What it really all comes down to is personal preference. Some people will never give up their film cameras – and the truth is, for some jobs, film based cameras are best.

About Film Cameras

You might be tempted to think that if you go out camera shopping these days, all you will find are digital cameras. That is not the cases, however. There are tons of film cameras available in the shops still, and there is one for every taste. Some film cameras are stylistically modeled on early film cameras, like the Instamatic and Brown Bunny, while other film based cameras are thoroughly modern in design, and in the features they offer. Most digital camera manufacturers still offer versions of their older film cameras varieties, and many camera manufacturers are still coming out with new film camera models, especially professional film cameras. Some popular film camera manufacturers are Konica Minolta film cameras, Fuji film cameras, and of course, who could forget the Polaroid film cameras. There are still reviews being written of the new film based cameras, and you can find film camera reviews and rankings of the best film cameras on the internet.

The internet is also a good place to go to learn more in general about film based cameras. For instance, you can easily find information on Pentax 35mm k1000 film cameras, or antique Kodak film cameras (Kodak was the first company to make private use film cameras). You will also find the best price on film cameras online.
